Do you have to have a .mac account to even create a website?
I have looked in the forums and I see that you can host it on your own server, and that is not what I am asking. It won't even let me make a single page. Everything is greyed out - which makes me think you have to have a .mac to use the program - is this true? |

No you don't need .mac.
You can, using certain methods, get iWeb's onto other hosts. But you should be able to create a website at least, with no problem. I do. |

You might want to see if it is a basic issue like clicking file>new page or something along that line.

First you have to create a site. Select "File", then "New Site", select a "Theme", click OK. Then click on the word "Site" in the "Site Organizer" and rename it or leave the name "Site" as you like. Your first page will be directly below the Site name using the theme you previously selected. Rename and edit your "page" to suit,
