I don't know. Maybe there's something to it. With a big enough onboard "generator" and a little boost from a rocket, maybe the thing could add another 2 or 3 miles per hour to the equation. I mean, that could cut Earth-to-Mars travel time by minutes!

You'd find more force from the sunlight reflecting off the damn thing in space... (the whole point was that it was a closed, resonant microwave cavity, so other than isotropic heat release -- released evenly in all directions -- there really is no force being made, and certainly no net directional force)
