Hope it's okay to post this here.

But how much would you pay for a PowerMac running:

DUAL 1.8 Ghz Processors
2.5 GB of RAM on 4 slots.
2 MAXTOR harddrives, 1 is 250GB and the other is 300GB for 550 total.
eyeTV installed, plus remote.
PIONEER DVR-110D 8x dual layer burner.
AIRPORT EXTREME

Just curious.

Thanks

Are you asking for advice on how much it's worth? That would belong in the Purchasing Advice forum.

Are you posting it here for sale? That would belong in the Nova Bazaar forum.

The quality of this board depends on the quality of the posts. The only way to guarantee thoughtful, informative discussion is to write thoughtful, informative posts. AppleNova is not a real-time chat forum. You have time to compose messages and edit them before and after posting.

Ya, asking for advice on how much it's worth.

Should I repost, or will you guys move it?

Also, is this a dual G4 or a dual G5?

G5

I may be able to get it for around $800-$900.

I honestly can't say I *need* it, but I'm thinking it's a steal, so I don't wana pass it up. But I don't want buyers remorse either.

So help me out guys!

Not bad at all. For $800, I'd probably go for it.

That isn't too bad when you think about the size of the box it has to ship in. It's high, he's going to make a profit, but it would be at least $75 due to dimensions of the box.

So then the question is, would you pay $875 for the system? I would, but that's me.

Ya I know, especially considering this system would be at least $1200-$1300 at Apple's refurb store, and that's without the HD, RAM, AirPort and eyeTV upgrades.

Grrrrrrrr...what to do!

I'd do it. It's a nice system, lots of stuff can be upgraded on it so it has some long term viability to go with it.

Under $1k total.

Absolutely. It's still worth it. I know the shipping seems high, but it's not. Ask Kraetos about shipping a tower. It's pricey.

I definitely would buy it. Been wanting a Dual G5 ever since the things came out, and it is still a very capable, powerful machine. (And it looks good too!)
