It's been a long while since we've had a thread like this so I thought it's about time for one.

My latest favorite piece of software is ImageWell. It's free and makes uploading pics to .mac (or any server) dead simple. You can have it automatically convert screenshots (which are .pdf files) to .jpg or some other format. It can resize for you. It automatically adds the url to your clipboard and with some clipboard manager like the Quicksilver plugin, you're all set.

Any others?

BatChmod has fixed many preference issues that OS X's disk utility could not. Probably other apps. do this same thing, but BatChmod is straightforward, easy and free.

SterMachine is another nice utility that performs a variety of functions within OSX. Again, probably other ways to do it, but it has a nice GUI and it comes well packaged and free.

Aha! works now...

...after a few restarts

That's a great little app perfect for posting to message boards. You can save the image URL to the global clipboard with [img] tags, you can add annotations and crop to a default size... Great!

As for my must-haves—these may be a little boring, but I use them so much that I forget that not everyone has them:

Bookmark synchronising: Bookit

(Free) FTP client: CyberDuck

(Free) Media player: VLC

I will let wrinkles tell you about HistoryHound which is how I found all (but one) of the above links, much more quickly than I would have without it.
