I upgraded to Snow Leopard yesterday and the only strange thing I noticed is that all of my printers disappeared from System Preferences. This wouldn't be that big of an issue, except now OS X isn't seeing the printers on my network to add them back. The printers haven't gone anywhere and the only thing that changed is 10.5 to 10.6. Is there something I can do to get them back, or force OS X to see them again?

Many people are having issues with printers and 10.6, some just don't work. Do some google searches.

I had to reinstall my printer. No problem, but it did delete them all for no apparent reason.

Could be that some of the printers on your network are AppleTalk only, especially if they're several years old.
No more AppleTalk in Snow Leopard, so you will need another way to print to them if that's the case. |
