We had one in the pre-tekkit world right next to spawn.

Watched some vids on them. Properly equipped, these things don't seem too terrifying to take on, but there are a ton of them.

Turns out that other than new blocks, the only payolla in a water temple is 8 blocks of gold.
The "treasure room" is hidden behind some random—but cool—blocks: - AppleNova is the best Mac-users forum on the internet. We are smart, educated, capable, and helpful. We are also loaded with smart-alecks! :) - Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. (Mat 5:9) |

So, rabbits. Apparently they eat your crops if you're not looking. They're jumping griefers, I guess.
Wait, let me try this again: BUNNIES!!! Fun addition. The new rabbit stuff (meat, foot, skin) are nice. Not that a rabbit farm will replace any other meat farm, but they do have a few uses. The 'rabbit stew' item is too good not to have at least one in your hotbar at all times. The greatest thing about the new mob is that in 1/1000 spawn you get: Spoiler (click to toggle):
Drew will spoil his armor. I guarantee it. So it goes. |

Best part? They'll be in the snapshot we use for BattleNova 2.

So 1.8 is out! When do we get slaves the new blocks Brad? I mean, how long 'til these bukkit people get a working copy out there?

This is likely the last hurrah for Bukkit what with the upcoming API, plus there was some minor trauma a week or so ago with one of the leads quitting (there's a whole story that goes along with that, if you're curious), so I wouldn't hold my breath. Dinnerbone said he would update Bukkit personally for 1.8, but I don't know how much work things like Essentials and the world warping plugin need to be shiny.
So it goes. |

APIs? This sounds very cool and stable for an MC server, I like it.
I am very curious about the bukkit rift. I'm actually relatively out of the loop with all things Minecraft. I kinda catch wind of certain things from Twitter and talk here or in the game but that's about it. Louis L'Amour, “To make democracy work, we must be a nation of participants, not simply observers.
