I am also having this problem. My passwords keep disappearing on all my accounts, whether work server (IMAP), Mac or Gmail, since upgrading last night to 10.5.6.

Strangely I am not having this problem on my Intel based MBP, just my PPC based Quad.

Any thoughts? I have rebooted multiple times.

Now that I got a job, I can buy more Apple products!

Any updates on this problem?

I have a friend that is experiencing the very same thing.

None, but I am not having problems with:

1. Printers not be able to connect and print thru the G5
2. Safari passwords all seem to be gone
3. USB devices not being recognized
4. Cannot open Microsoft Word or excel documents in email

And the list keeps growing. . .

I did full install again getting the nearly 400 MB update from an Apple website directly, installing the 10.5.6 update over my current 10.5.6 and this seems to have fixed all problems.

I guess he doesn't have a choice but to reinstall.

Thanks.

You could try using Keychain Access to attempt repair on the keychain (from the Keychain Access menu, Keychain First Aid). If that doesn't help, delete the keychain entries for the given passwords, restart the apps in question, and try entering and saving the passwords again.

Reinstalling the 10.5.6 update did the charm. I am guessing my first download somehow got corrupted.
