So I purchased a copy of Vista Home Premium for one of my VMs since I'm eligible for an upgrade. Everytime I attempt to install I get an error about now having the right kind of BIOS.
When I try a clean install I get informed that I must be installing it over a copy of XP/Me etc. I didn't know about that limitation. SO now I have an opened box of Vista HP Upgrade tha seems pretty useless to me. Is my only option really to find a bootloader hack so I can install it by bypassing Vista's activation? I'm actually trying to do this one legit here not be forced to hack my way around their OS. (For those who question it, yes it is legit to ue something other than Ultimate in a VM.) So you got an upgrade version rather than a full copy? You know that you can't use upgrade discs with VMs or bootcamp right?
