When I got my iPhone 4, I choose not to restore my 3GS backup to prevent any problems in the transition. Last night, I decided to give it a try because I really didn't want to play all my Angry Birds levels all over again and I haven't played since getting the iPhone 4. Now I get no cellular data on my 4. The easy solution is just to restore to my previously working iPhone 4 backup, but then I have my no game saves problem. Is there a way to get my game saves over without going back to my 3GS backup in its entirety?
If Apple wants to make the iPhone a viable gaming platform, there has to be a way to get game saves without having to restore a previous backup. Or game devs need to have something akin to Steam Cloud. If it's not red and showing substantial musculature, you're wearing it wrong. |

Did you try Settings > General > Reset > 'Reset Network Settings'? I would give that a shot before restoring from another backup. Just be aware that you'll have to re-input any Wi-Fi network settings afterward.
