I was Flavor-Flav this year. I found a perfect Goblin mask and matched it up with a blue velvet suit, a hanging clock, ridiculous looking white sunglasses, a cane, and viking horns.

My brother bought a Jesus costume and is apparently looking for a velociraptor mask for the complete "Raptor Jesus" look.

Meanwhile, my girlfriend tells me one of her friends is holding a Halloween party as well, and that it'll be Godfather themed. Clearly I have to go, seeing as how my name is Luca and I'm Italian, so all I have to do is figure out where to get a fedora and a jacket that fits me... in China. I'm overweight AND I just have a really big upper body anyway, even for an American, so it might be tough, but maybe I'll luck out. I don't really want to spend a lot of money, but if I get a nice jacket it would be useful for more than just one party.

I'm going as a middle-aged guy in jeans and a hockey jersey. I know, I know. The originality factor is staggering. I'm thinking of writing a how-to book for developing adult halloween costumes. Carol is going to be my peer-reviewer.

Hey Drew, I had kinda the same idea; still working on mine, but here's a picture from yesterday...

Since then I've added a 12-volt "cooling fan" mounted on top, an LED binary clock in front, dryer-vent-hose arms, and some internal speakers (hooked up to iPod for robot noises).

I'll post an update on Tuesday when it's finished...

Well, since I have X-ray vision, that shouldn't be a problem.

I'm actually on meds that severely restrict my alcohol consumption (though I did enjoy a shot of vodka after taking off the costume .... ironically enough, I used it to wash down a dosage of the same meds that say NO to alcohol).

*slight bump*

Went to the (in) famous West Hollywood Halloween street party in Los Angeles, just to see what it was like. My wife and I live in WeHo, it's a great neighborhood, we love it.

For those of you who don't know. WeHo is basically Gay LA.

I think some of the gay men confuse Halloween with the Gay Pride parade because half the people were wearing the same thing they probably wore at Pride. In some cases they weren't wearing much of anything except a codpiece. I've never seen so many asses hanging out in public outside of the gym locker room.

C'mon...you're supposed to dress up at Halloween, not dress down. There's a difference. Putting on the assless leather chaps and leather hat and armbands that you wear every weekend to leather/S&M bars doesn't count as a costume!

All the same a lot of people-gay and straight-got laid last night. It was rather x-rated

Next year I'm dressing up. Going as a stem cell. Wonder if I can convince my wife to dress up as a conservative Republican...

Specialists are people who know more and more about less and less until they know everything about nothing. Generalists are people who know less and less about more and more until they know nothing about everything. I'm somewhere in the middle.

I's me on the right. Believe it or not, but I actually won a beer mug for best costume.

I had cut a hole in the mouth so I could drink, however, I did have a lot of beer inside the mask and not just inside me where it was supposed to be.
