Well, my hard drive has disappeared. It is a Maxtor internal drive. It isn't my main boot drive, in case you were wondering how I knew it was gone. I believe I might have accidently ejected it. If I did, what can I do to remount it? What other occurance could explain this? I've restarted in attempts to get it to load. I don't believe it has failed, it hasn't shown any signs of beginning to do so.

/Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility
Select your volume from the list on the left and either click the Mount button in the toolbar or choose Mount from the File menu. You can unmount (like ejecting) any volume from the Finder except your startup volume. Maybe you accidentally dragged its icon to the trash/eject icon on the Dock. I'm surprised it didn't mount after rebooting, though. PS. Welcome to AppleNova. The quality of this board depends on the quality of the posts.
