Hi, So after my last problems, I restored the computer to the factory state (something I've done about 3 billion times), and installed iTunes off the CD with my iPod. Everything seems OK. I restart and plug in my iPod, iTunes goes to load, and BAM! error:

"QuickTime was not found. QuickTime is required to run iTunes. Please reinstall iTunes."

On the first install, at the end, it came up with a message: QuickTime Install Error 1607. Any ideas?

So then I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes just a few minutes ago. Same thing again.

I was going to download QuickTime off the Apple site and install it. Is this the right path to go down?

Thanks.

iTunes 5, iTunes and iPod 2006-01-10 is the version.

Will do that -once I get the Apple site to do its thing.

You would be better to also install iTunes 6.0.5 as it is more compatible and so far I haven't had any problems.

Apart from ones I have caused myself.

You know, I always get that mixed up- it is iTunes 6 (6.0.2.23, to be more exact).
