You guys remember that website years ago that kept calling something like a QuicktimeTV Golden Convergence? Also something along the lines of a Disney / Apple marriage? I remember a billboard at the homepage of that website that displayed, if I recall correctly, a Quicktime logo with Mickey Mouse ears. I think the writer on that website was Robert Morgan. Fast forward to 2006. Jobs becomes the largest shareholder at Disney. Is this it? Coincidence? A master plan 8 years in the making?

Sometimes people call things possible because they choose not to take into account what others consider reality.

Basically, I love that.

But with this "possibility", analyst Whalen expresses a most embarrassing lack of understanding of what Apple is about: which is is *not* producing content, like Disney and Pixar.

You can't just combine assets and think there will always be synergy, if the different assets have different purposes of their own.

What Whalen suggests is like saying that Think Secret could become a Mac retail chain because the site has so many visitors.

This thread should be about how stupid some paid 'analysts' are, instead of elaborating on this specific stupid idea.

RFI, Ah good times. However the only mouse ears I remember on RFI were from the "3" on the silk-screened G3 of the Blue & White PowerMac. It was a nudge-nudge, wink-wink reference.

What does disney have that apple might want to buy?

Disney just bought Pixar. They got content, name recognition, production capability and Steve.

Does Disney have Anything that Apple would want? Perhaps Apple could buy a division of Disney that is not in synergy with the group.

i work for disneyland as a travel agent and we could use an xserve.

please make this an apple environment. this compaq computer is hurting my eyes.
