709, you look like Steve Buscemi's partner in "Fargo" in that pic! Can't think of his name now, but he's been in some other movies too.
You also look a lot like Chili Pepper Anthony Kiedis, especially in pics where he's sporter shorter, blonde hair. gelding you look so different in all those pics (I guess we all do). I dig the home ec shirt to no end! You've got a bit of an Indigo Girl thing going in the first photo In the second one (yes, your wife is cute and I mean that only in a respectful way) you look like the lead in a 1983 "summer sex romp" type of movie. "Porky's" or "The Last American Virgin". There should be a Plimsouls song playing in the background... And you look like NASCAR driver Dale Jarrett in the final boat photo: Hey, that would be a cool thread to start. Famous people we look like... You and 709 would clean up! Hey, passport. Good idea. I can find that. I looked through hundreds of pics in iPhoto last night, and couldn't find any of me. I might have to teach my wife how to use the camera.

Here's me at a trip to the Brookfield Zoo this past summer. I've lost a little weight since than (about 30 pounds) so this one is a little outdated.

I'm taking this thread as an opportunity to do something I've wanted to do for a while: create a static AppleNova community page. Many years ago back at the old place, a member named Leonis maintained a simple gallery page (as suggested by another member, ZO) that listed photos of every member who would contribute one.
A few of the photos here are too small even for the 200px speed holes I'm using. So, if you want to be a part of this page, post a "normal" photo of a reasonable size. PhotoBooth-distorted pics will be passed over. The quality of this board depends on the quality of the posts. The only way to guarantee thoughtful, informative discussion is to write thoughtful, informative posts. AppleNova is not a real-time chat forum. You have time to compose messages and edit them before and after posting. |

Oh, and if I don't get pictures from some more of our regulars, I'll have to use my INTERNET MAGIC to divine some pictures on my own. For instance, can you name these AN regulars? I'm pretty sure that's Eugene in the Cal hat. And some dork in front of the Golden Gate Bridge...he's obviously trespassing and should be arrested.
Yeah, Inaction...that's me. January 2000, during my first (and, so far, only) visit to Macworld Expo (the year OS X was first unveiled). Feels like a whole other lifetime ago... The guy with the lemon...I know who it is, but I can't think of the his name. Driving me crazy... |

Be sure to use my more recent pic.
I still think we should have a "separated at birth" thread...looking back through this thread, I see so many people here that look like famous people. Maybe I'll just do that on my own and make a little photo array and post it here. Do like Conan does, and "cast" a movie about AppleNova...who here would be played by what already-famous person? |

The guy with the lemon is driving me nuts as well.
I know I've seen a picture of him before and know who he is, but can't think of his name. No more Twitter. It's Mastodon now. |

What's your guitar, Yontsey? Is it black?

It's one of my good friends, but I believe it's a Martin. I think this is the exact one, here.
It's a beautiful guitar and sounds amamzing. It has a flat black finish on it too, which is really nice. For my personal use, I have a real nice Ibanez electric-acoustic cutaway that I love. Die young and save yourself.... @yontsey |
