I'd love a new world. If it becomes convenient at some point after that, it would be neat to have my mountain house brought over, but only when convenient

I'd be in for a new world, too. I've got the plans set for my project, but as of yet have not started the actual framework - nothing to move over. I think some of the issues of spawn moving like they did would be good to fix, too.

I Vote for a new world. Keep the creative mode area separate, not move spawn and centralize the main area.

Things started out this way in the current world, but rapidly devolved as people spread out.

Things we really need to do if we move, in order:

1) Establish a communal safehouse area immediately (e.g. Spawn Mall).
2) Establish a consensus on a centralized town square area for the transplant of the current Terranova community structures.
3) Terraform the community area, using the magic sand = dirt admin powers (e.g. skyranch)
4) Explore and post land claims (reasonable ones near the community area please)
5) If you are going to build an attention dominating structure try to place it beyond far render distance from the community structure.
6) Consider a 2nd cityscape area for select BP structures

That's a good plan.

Hopefully there's a big ocean somewhat nearby that 13topia can be moved to* without crowding anyone's skyline (sorry bobsky! ). That can wait 'til we explore a bit and settle on a base area like you say though. Fun!


* It looks like it's ~1MM blocks from water level to bedrock and would be less above since I haven't finished the upper sphere, so hopefully it won't be too much server strain to transplant it in 2 jumps.

So I put up 1.2 on my MBP and found a cat! (SD|HD)

Can't wait for Brad to update the texture pack for this one. Jungle looks kinda odd.

Worlds are already 128 tall. Sea-level is around 64. Maybe it's 256?

I think he indicated 128 above sea level. So, I'm guessing 256, although he didn't say that the ground would get "deeper". 192 would be odd, I guess?

Hell yes. I've been wanting emerald forever. All would be moot if we'd just get the option for cooking up some stained glass though. Probably easier on jeb to add blocks like that than adding another mineral or two within the existing dispersal of underground whatnots.

Speaking of ease, I have the feeling that the world is going to be 256 like mentioned above, just with another 128 of air layered on top of the existing 128 world we have now.
