Okay, this... well, this SUCKS...
Whether I'm in Safari or the modified purple-n-gold NightShift WebKit version, when I click on the RSS button in the address bar, a new instance of WebKit starts up with the feed address. Then, that stops loading, and another instance of WebKit starts up, shows the RSS feed address in its address field, then it stops loading. ANOTHER instance of WebKit starts up,... it goes on and on until I quit them all. I'm trying to find a way to uninstall the whole NightShift thing and revert to the bone-stock WebKit that's included in OS X. I'm at 10.4.4, and I've had problems with RSS for a while, ever since running NightShift (even ran it an hour ago). When the original webkit file was still intact, I could actually see RSS feeds. Here's a screenshot: |

Oh yeah -- if this should be in Genius Bar, feel free to move it.

Figured it out:
Step 1: Drag the WebKit.app to the Trash. Step 2: There is no step 2. Duh... *smacks forehead* I was afraid that getting rid of the nightly build would be more involved, though. I had thought that NightShift installed some file in the System and somehow it was screwing up Safari as well. Do I need to look for anything else? |

No, that's all there is to it. NS just has a script in there that calls up the regular Safari executable but using the custom WebKit framework.

Hmm, ok. Maybe, now that RSS works again, I'll actually begin using it.
