Hey folks - I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, I've been searching old posts, and haven't seen a discussion about this specific setup.
I have a 300gb Fat32 format external that I'm hooking up via usb to a Windows XP machine, as well as to the most recent 12" ibook. I'm looking to store my iTunes library only on the external drive, be able to read and write to it from either computer (by physically changing the usb connection), and be able to connect two different ipods to the Mac only. The PC is for downloading and converting, while the Mac I think will transfer to the iPod better than the PC (probably just due to the slower PC processing speed). Is this possible? Is it possible with either machine to store the library entirely on an external drive (that will only contain music files and photo files)? Thanks for any help. |

Why not just share it to the PC?
