Is there a fast way to jump to the bottom of a page in
Safari? I love the way you can tap the bar to jump to the top, on the iPhone.
When reading long threads, it would be nice to quickly jump down to the lower section of the page.

Two options for the bottom:
  • cmd-down-arrow
  • end (fn-right-arrow on MacBooks)

Two options for the top:
  • cmd-up-arrow
  • home (fn-left-arrow on MacBooks)

Two options to scroll down one full screen:
  • spacebar
  • page down (fn-down-arrow on MacBooks)

Two options to scroll up one full screen:
  • shift-spacebar
  • page up (fn-up-arrow on MacBooks)

Those are fairly standard in most Mac apps, FWIW.

Well he should've said so more clearly, then! One generally calls it "Mobile Safari" when referring to the iPhone version, reserving plain old "Safari" for the desktop version.

Yeah, no, I don't know of any particular trick for that.

Brad is slipping up. Haha

I don't know of any way either, I always make it a point to click on the little "most recent" arrow.

Well it says "on the iPhone" right in the OP, so...

Nitpick: It does, but in a sentence merely giving an example of a similar behavior he likes. For less ambiguous communication, the "on the iPhone" should be added to the end of the first sentence, not the second.

Assuming, of course, that Safari on the iPhone is what he meant.

Yeah, the post is ambiguous either way really. iPhone just seems like the better guess.

I like how you were tipped off by the typographic awkwardness before the phrase which answered the question definitively.

Don't worry, I was too. And I'm drunk.

My apologies, yes I meant for Safari mobile on the iPhone.

javascript:window.scrollTo(0, 9999)
Works on Mobile Safari too!

Safari's had some irritating changes in function since 3.0. It no longer remembers the position of the bookmarks. Before, I could open a page from the bottom of bookmarks, then go back and it would still be scrolled to the bottom of the list. No more. It defaults back to the top.

The slowness also sucks. It now lags up terribly when working with multiple tabs, but before 3.0 it was snappy.

No lag here. But the bookmarks could be annoying, I'll give you that. Thank goodness i dont have any bookmark lists longer than one page.
