The apple store has remove the 15" Powerbook. The picture is gone and you can't select it to buy new.

Just thought you would like to know....

Apparently someone has been hoarding them..... I know it. There got to be a stockpile of 15" PBs somehow....

Someone alert George Bush.

Whew glad I got mine last week (killer deal on a refurb 1.67 from local apple store). I sooo wanted a MacBook it's not going to be worth it to me until all the design apps go universal.

I'm really surprised they EOL'd them this soon. On with progress I suppose.

Shhhh, I can't see!

it seems they've stopped producing the 12" and 17" as well... on the 12, stock at our distributor (normally 600-700 units at any given time) has dropped below 100... it would seem that they're trying not to get stuck with many when apple pulls the plug

i don't know... as i'm sure you know, apple doesn't like to say much, so you have to judge more by actions than by statements (i usually get new product announcements as the keynotes start... woowoo, 30 minutes early!)

I must have missed the memo stating that hotch is legally obligated and mandated to disclose all info on this board.

Ahh! That would explain why my local Apple Reseller was selling off their 15" PowerBooks for $1100. It didn't matter what they had in them, the 512mb and the 1gig RAM versions were the same price.

Pretty cool!

Wow, wish I found that deal, WLP. I took the Apple Store (online) offer of $1600 for the refurbished 15" PB G4 (1.67 GHz) today. They're still out there in spots, tohugh the brick and mortar Apple Store here is still trying to push them out the door at $2000.

Thats terrible!!!

I've have a Macbook Pro coming but I was still VERY fond of the old 15" G4. My best friend had one, its the entire REASON i switched. I borrowed it a couple of times and just fell in love with it. I was actually tempted to buy it off him rather than get a Macbook Pro.

Oh well, thats ruined my evening

Ok!?! Did I say he was legally obligated? You have got to be kidding me. If hotch has info wouldn't you like to hear it? Oh wait you are on a rumors message board (I realize this isn't the rumor section of the forum) so yes you would like to know.

Now get off my back and have a great day.

A friend of mine just got herself a Powerbook for about half price (I think it was the 12") at her campus store. 80 gig, Superdrive, etc. She's very happy.
