Hi, I've got a problem using text editors. Sometimes, when I'm writing something (java code, for example), my computer jams up, the text only appears about one letter/second. Activity Monitor shows cpu use is 100%, the editor takes up almost all of that and ATSServer about 10%.
I've tried both BBEdit and jEdit, and both have the same problem. Restarting the program helps, but only for a while. This didn't appear until I upgraded to Tiger. My machine is: iBook G4 1.2 GHz, 768 MB RAM, OS X 10.4.2. There's nothing special in Console.log or System.log. Last edited by iCode : 2005-10-15 at 15:06. |

That is very strange. I have been using jEdit for a long time and have never seen anything like that. I've never really used BBEdit tho', I didn't like it much.
OK, I have given up keeping this sig up to date. Lets just say I'm the guy that installs every latest version as soon as its available! |
