I just bought a 20" iMac Intel duo 512mb RAM 128mb Ati x1600
I have all the updates including front row 1.2.1 and os x 10.4.6 build 8|1119 After extensive use of the front row the monitors flickers and white strips (ghost image appears), usually after a few minutes the monitor goes back to "normal" working condition. I know several people have this problem I tried many solutions like displaying colour in thousands insteadof millions. Some people say updating to 10.4.5 solves the problem, but i have 10.4.6 so no improvement there. I know that Apple is aware of the problem but I have not see a decent solution that resolves the problem permantly. Please if you have any ideas or heard any rumours for permanent solutions let me know. http://news.zdnet.co.uk/hardware/0,3...9252116,00.htm PS I used the chat with an apple agent feature but the people i talk to was not even aware of the problem. Otherwise the mac works perfectly, but the fact that i spent 1200 pounds and i got something less than perfect is killing me PS 2 the 10.4.5solution was for the early iMacs (feb) the update seemed to work. So why the problem exists to later produced iMacs? |
