Hi
First time on this forum hoping there's a genius or two out there Have been unable to download in Safari for sometime which I have in the meantime been able to work around by logging in as another user that does not have this problem. Seems unique to one user. Running using Airport connection can't download any program files like ... dmg.sit with the message "... dmg.sit" failed to load. However at another location seemed to be working through ethernet connection. Using an ADSL modem connected to the Airport. Have deleted and reinstalled Stuffit Expander. Have checked settings and preferences in Safari. Have compared and checked security settings. Have run verify permissions. Have reset Safari Any ideas on a fix please? Thanks PB 12" 867 mhz, Panther 10.3.5, Safari 1.2.3 |

Sounds like it might just be a bad connection. How strong is your Airport connection? It does work for browsing the internet, correct? If your reception is especially bad, it could be timing out. Then again, if it were timing out when trying to download something, it would also be very slow when browsing the internet.

It's always fun to delete safari preferences and/or caches for safari to see if that helps.
