Anyways, I'm new to this forum and applescript and have a quick question. I wrote a script to automount my network drives on login with my macbook and it works fine and all, but is there anyway to suppress the error message I get when I am not on my local network. The script I wrote is just 2 mount volume "...." statements. I'm guessing I have to add some if statement to check if the drives are available, but not quite sure how to go about that. Thanks for any help

Welcome, sbert!
I don't know much about AppleScript, but I imagine it would be helpful to the other gurus for you to post your script for review. (And be sure to put the code here in [code][/code] blocks!) The quality of this board depends on the quality of the posts. The only way to guarantee thoughtful, informative discussion is to write thoughtful, informative posts. AppleNova is not a real-time chat forum. You have time to compose messages and edit them before and after posting. |

The script is simply:
Code:
mount volume "cifs://MSHOME2;ANDY@ANDYDESKTOP/NETWORK DRIVE"
mount volume "cifs://MSHOME2;ANDY@ANDYDESKTOP/REMOTE STORAGE" saved as an application that runs on startup. |
