I have two gamepads that used to work fine under Panther, but it seems that they don't work with Tiger. They show up fine in the System profiler, but no programs seem to detect them. Any ideas on why this would be happening?

Have you run Software Update recently?
It always helps to have the newest version of Tiger. |

I have 10.4.2, and I run Software Update often (which crashes a lot, but that's another problem).
I actually just fixed the problem though; it had nothing to do with Tiger. Apparently I had a leftover kext from some keyboard drivers I had a while back. I just got rid of it, and my gamepads work fine now. Those stupid keyboard drivers never worked in the first place, and then I found out that over the course of a month, they had written an 18 gig log file because they were crashing every second for a few months. I think this is the last trace of them though, at least I hope. |
