Okay, I've temporarily got a PowerBook sharing its wireless connection over ethernet to an iMac.

At first, I was unable to connect to the internet using anything other than a browser. Things like Yahoo Messenger, AIM, Outlook Express, MSN, and Software Update were acting as if there was no internet connection, while browsers were able to go to websites.

So, I tried turning off OS X's firewall on the PowerBook, and that seemed to work for everything except MSN. I've connected to MSN before without having to use the shared connection. I noticed some proxy settings in the preferences menu, do I have to mess with that?
