I'm just going to go to The Apple Store this weekend and grab a couple (and a 23") if they have them.

Can you tell us if it has the removable prongs like the Powerbook AC Adapters? I've been wondering about that. (Or did I just miss something on Apple.com?)

Pretty sure it has removable prongs. If memory serves, the extension is part of the cable package.

requires a restart...and if you are using cable, unplug the cable box after set up to clear old settings i guess...i had a flashing yellow light on the airport express until i unplugged my cable for 30 seconds...now it is a green light and all is good in the world

wireless printing works nicely...now the girls can easily use the computer room printer from the old iMac DV in their rooms

one printer, one cable modem, one wireless, three computers...all nicely connected now

Any word yet on wheater this will just extend the range of an AirPort basestation or will it work with third party wireless routers too? Thanks.

I got a little money that I want to use on one of these things, but I don't know if I'll do it if it won't extend my network. I don't have an AP base station though, I just wanna know if this will work. According to Apple, it won't, but I'm sure there is a workaround for it, just wondering if anyone had found it yet.

Come waste your time with me

correct, you can use the extension from a G4 iBook as well.

i like the box it comes in it looks like one of those deluxe cd box sets.

you can't use it outside in canada or france, in italy you can but you need a permit.

it has been approved for canada i believe.

and realistically, who's gonna check if you have a permit?

- Execuse me sir, do you have a permit for that?
- *uhm*, eee, well... i was going to, ...*gulp*

DMBand0026, i'm pretty sure it will work only with ABS Extreme, as WDS is not a part of a 802.11g standard, linksys and couple of other make their own versions of devices, but they are not compatible.

(as always, why would we have one standard when we can have many? )
