Well the new series is almost here and it's time for True Fans to get a look at the new Doctor. Reverse the polarity of the neutron flow m'lads, times are about to get weird again!

Will the Dalek effects budget go up this time around, or can we still expect the peak of BBC alien costuming and makeup to be cardboard boxes and trash bins?

I'll be sorely disappointed if they try to make it too 'modern', but judging from the vanishing TARDIS effect in the trailer I think I'm pretty safe.

I too will be VERY disappointed if they get too slick with the special effects... Dr.Who is the last safe place in the world for bad special effects that you can't help but LOVE. Let those dry heaps of poodoo like Andromeda keep their whizbang CGI. Give me space stations that have smoke drifting up just before they blow up and all the sparks go down.........

Favorite companion? Sarah Jane.
2nd favorite? Peri. If she'd just shutup.

I so hated Peri, it was just all about her breasts... sigh. I'm very pumped up about the new series but, and a very big but, when will we get to see this new series State Side? Also, considering how long it's taking BBC to release the old episodes on DVD, freakin ridiculous, I'll be retired before the new episodes are released.

The future is tomorrow!

I just started a "Companion You'd Most Like To Do" thread on my tired old dusty messageboard.... inspiration to post something like that indicates true boredom. I think I'm going to get up and walk away from the internet before I start writing fan fiction [shudder]

I'll second that, if only for the fact that's the companion I pretty much grew up with and remember the most. I liked Jo a lot as well.

Companion I'd most like to do? Leela. No question about it.

So it goes.

I've never watched the show, I don't know what any of it is about. I'm sure for saying so I will be publicly ostracized from the community.

You can have Leela, I'll take Peri (if she'd promise not to talk). The worst Brit-doing-American accent EVAR!!! But nice boobs.
