That didn't take long.
Adobe's new beta has AI for the taking. Watch Terry White's demo: https://youtu.be/CARKl0ZwxuU ... |

I saw this and actually thought about how many faked images will be out there. Sure some of this stuff it cool and will help with creativity... sort of. Why push yourself to get a better shot or the perfect lighting when the AI can fix it in post or just do it from scratch instead?
AI has a place, it should be supplemental to personal creativity I think. Louis L'Amour, “To make democracy work, we must be a notion of participants, not simply observers. One who does not vote has no right to complain.” Visit our archived Minecraft world! | Maybe someday I'll proof read, until then deal with it. |

All this AI stuff is there to allow wealthy people with no talent to surpass talented people who are not.
On a less sarcastic note, I agree it has a place, but advertising companies must be salivating over this AI stuff. Why pay a camera team and models when AI can generate the entire image for a small monthly fee! This is why Adobe started their own stock photo service, without a doubt. Unhindered access to a lot of images and users have already given up the copyright to Adobe so no issues for them there. |

Yeah, that is kinda the thought line I had going with it too.
Heck, FB/Insta could do the same. They own everything you post to their service.. |

I downloaded the beta and it's really interesting to introduce new elements into existing photographs. It's decent at matching general perspective. It won't replace traditional photo manipulation quite yet, but one day nothing will be outside its ken.

I'm interested in what AI will be bringing to InDesign. Magazines and newspapers are already laying off staff and automating layout functions for sports pages etc. I imagine you'll be able to point to a folder of ads/graphics and a folder of word processing docs, and just tell the software to use a particular template and build a newsletter - in seconds.

Finally: from the society that brought you “newsletters people don’t read” comes “newsletters people didn’t write”.

When Skynet takes over, reading the newsletter will be mandatory.
