Hello,

I would like to know which memory, DIMM or SODIMM, would be the right for my model of powerbook, which is a year old, and 1/67 GHz G4 with 768 MB RAM. I belive it varies somehow. And are the powerbooks 200 pin? Thanks.

every laptop I've ever seen, including PowerBooks and iBooks, take SO-DIMMs and not regular DIMMs

My "About This Mac" option under the apple lists my memory as 768 MB DDR SDRAM, since it was upgraded previously. So would this 1 GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-Dimm DDR2 memory be right for my machine? I believe it is SO-DIMM also, FFL, but for some reason, the option exists to find powerbook memory that is DIMM, rather than SO-DIMM. Perhaps this was from the previous generation of Powerbooks.

Any advice?

that's DDR-2, which only the most recent PowerBook revision takes. you want DDR

try searching for RAM for your specific model at OWC and then use those RAM specs for your comparison shopping.

Using OWC, memory, I noticed that these chips are 333 MHz. Do manufacturers make different MHz speeds on these chips?

Yes, but anything slower in your machine generally won't work and anything faster would not make any difference and simply run at the specified speed of the bus: 333 MHz
