My sisters iPod nano keeps going into iPod disk mode when she disconnects it. How do you get it out of this? I couldn't figure it out last time so I just restored it, but I'd like not have to keep doing that. Anyone know how?
Also does anyone know why it would be doing this...some setting in WinXP/iTunes doing it? |

You should be able to change this in the preferences of iTunes, I guess?

Hmm...holding the menu and select button seemed to work although it didn't the prior time. So I'm confused.

restore is definitely not necessary. basically you'll want to restart the ipod if that ever happens. you have to hold down a certain combination of buttons (select+menu usually). the actual buttons to hit vary per model. you hold it down for 5-10 seconds and the ipod restarts.
if you can't remember how to restart the ipod, you can try plugging it back into a computer. sometimes inserting and removing the wire once or twice can wake it up. make sure she ejects the ipod from her computer before removing the wires. thats what usually causes this for me. |
