Lots of circles! What could they mean? Let the tea-leaf reading commence! |

Tasseomancy pass No.1:
• fancy new camera circles on the iPhones 12 • circles within circles for the HomePod mini • tiny little circular AirTags • um, redesigned AppleTV remote with lots of new circular buttons... Regarding the colors too, there's been some talk of a Slate Navy coloring for the new iPhones, but maybe there's a new Sienna/Ochre color as well? I'll have a hard time deciding between the two if that stretch pans out. There's my all-too literal take on a piece of advertising. So it goes. |

as a dumb piece of shit who got water into the cracked camera lens of their 8, I'm just waiting for the chance to get a cheap 11... because I'm pretty fucking sick of this 5S I've been using for the past 2 months

The circles, I wouldn't put too much thought into. |

My thought on the circles is four lenses now. That is just because they can't justify 6 yet.

I just had a meeting move to 1330 EDT.
I might try to watch the stream anyway, but not sure I'll be able to since I'm a principal on this conference call. Not sure what I think. Depending on its actual size I could see something like that in my living room. They also say good bye midnight green and bring midnight blue instead according to these images: Same basic form factor as the iPad Pro too. Flat edges. There is a fourth circle for the camera area. LIDAR is my guess like the iPad Pro has.

Oh yeah, Apple is better!
I actually thought the same when I saw it. I'd like to think it is a coincidence but who knows. Personally I'd rather it be more like a hockey puck. Not a music device per se, but a means to control HomeKit without needing a Watch or phone on hand. Louis L'Amour, “To make democracy work, we must be a nation of participants, not simply observers. The best thing about this iPhone event, is that when it's over, the countdown to the Apple Silicon event can begin in earnest.

Is this thing still on? Long time no post. Currently deciding between changing out the battery on my iPhone 8 Plus, (because Touch ID with daily mask wearing is more convenient than Face ID) and something shiny from today. We will see. |

So, I guess we can shoot feature films on iPhone even easier now. (Not sure I was planning on doing so, but anyway...) 5G: Super fast. Are the carriers still going to have ludicrously low data caps, though? No point downloading plenty-bajillion gigaoojits of data per second if my plan only allows me to do that for 5 seconds a month. |

Apple seems fiercely determined to drive AppleTV fans crazy this year.

Yeah, I feel very disconnected from the lifestyle that Apple seems to think we should be living.
As a builder I would like adverts that show how rugged iPhone is, and how the screen doesn't glare, and how I can answer a motherfudging call without having to take off my glove. And how the earpiece cuts out exterior noises. Surely thats a way bigger market than whether I can finally film shergar running up and down Skegness beach from a drone. I get that you can film something vaguely professional with it, but I think thats going to be limited to documentaries and news, not really the next Marvel film. |

Well, I missed almost all of the iPhone presentation. I got 5G and an iPhone 12 mini. Is there still a lightning adapter on the bottom? I caught they were hammering the MagSafe thing (which I like the concept) but not sure about charging other than wirelessly.

Bring on the iPhone 12 Mini. With me trade-in, that thing will be less than $500. Or half as much as my iPhone X was, smaller, faster, better cameras, a screen less than 1/2" smaller but a lot smaller phone, and blue!

Nothing at all said about battery life. I may get an iPhone 11 now that they’re cheaper.
