you know what, ever since I saw the iGame pic, I've been thinking about this. Of course Apple wouldn't be crazy of going in the gaming market. But what if they joined nintendo?
Nintendo is in a pretty dangerous spot right now. The sorta gave up on competing with MS and Sony, and are trying to do their own thing with their console. So I can def. see this game downloading service as a new function in iTunes, or perhaps a new software. What does apple have to gain? Well, if the game downloading thing were to apply only to the next gen handheld that nintendo is selling, perhaps apple could have a software that would allow you to play the game on the computer (of course, it would have to be Mac-only so that Apple would somehow "profit" outta this). Nintendo is definitely the Apple of the gaming world. Does that mean that they should team up? Not necessarily. The console business is uber-competitive and very risky, and what does Apple have to gain by joining it? They have to choose their battles, and right now, entering the console arena doesn't make sense.
