I like the look of the PSP, but I saw a white version on the internet that has me interested. I'd like to wait and see that in person before making a decision on whether to purchase the white or black version.

As for the iPod nano, it would be one of the few things I have ever ordered sight-unseen (untouched), but I am going to wait a while for the cases to come out before I give in. Too much potential for scratches ... and I know that would irk me no end.

Yeah, that was my impression of the black nano...it looks like anything BUT an iPod (a gaming device, a remote control, a phone, etc.). It's nice-looking, don't get me wrong. Just doesn't look "iPod-y".



Plus, I'd imagine fingerprints are going to show up like CRAZY on it. That would drive me up the wall, after a while.

I'd only take a black one if someone GAVE it to me...and even then, I'd sell it and use the money to get a white one.

Sorry for the all-caps spasm, but it makes me happy. Me - 600 posts on a Mac message board, without a single Apple product - and I finally got an iPod nano.

I chose white. I liked both colors equally, and I was honestly trying to decide in line, but I when it came time to ask for an iPod nano I said I wanted a white 2 GB one. I'll wish I'd have gotten a black one if I ever get a white iPod proper, but it'd just feel weird to not get a white iPod as my first iPod (and my first Apple product in years). It just wouldn't be right...but maybe that's my OCD talking.

In any case, I'm overjoyed. I can't wait for Monday to come, so I can show it off at school.

I bought the iPod socks with it, because I needed some type of case, and they didn't have any cases for the iPod nano (the Apple Store I went to - at the Mall of America - didn't have any nano Tubes yet). I actually sorta prefer the socks, even over the tubes. Yeah, I'll have to put my nano in upside down, but it's still a snug fit, and if I ever get an iPod (or iPod mini...Student Union's not over yet!) it'd fit that as well. Plus, I get six socks instead of five tubes, and I like the socks colors better. Still, they were far too expensive, but I needed something, and I got the iPod nano for $20 off, after all.

Gotta install iTunes...did I mention I was so happy?

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but there's a stopwatch feature under the "Extras" menu. It's pretty cool. Has a lap timer and will save your times. I don't know if they sync anywhere, but it gives you a break down of total time, lap time and average lap time. And it looks cool too.

You shouldn't be sorry for talking about an iPod Roboman. When I got my first iPod, I jumped right into Apple and now I'm sitting here typing on my iBook. Apple is jsut about the best thing. I got the white 4 GB nano yesterday and was thrilled. I'm going to show mines off too at school come Monday. Instead of the socks, you should have gotten the armband, outrageous colors they have.

I saw them at the Apple Store in Yorkdale today. Unbelievably small. This is one of Apple's most stunning products ever. I can't decide which one I like more so my girlfriend and I are going to get them both so we can switch every once in a while. The guy at the Apple store said they were almost out of 4 gig black nano's but they still had lots of the white ones. I must say that the colour screen makes the black look quite striking.

I hope Samsung and Apple can keep up with demand for these things when Christmas shopping season starts. I don't want to sound like a loonie, but I think that Apple could sell 8-10 million iPods in the first full quarter these are available.

White is here to stay. White earphones have become a TRADEMARK of sort for Apple. White earphones don't match the black iPod --a fashion error IMHO. And you're not going to see black earphones either.

That's one of the reasons why I went with a white one.

I didn't want to get approached by some pimply middle school kid... "Dude, is that one of those PSP I-pods?!?"

Also, iPods have been and will always be white in my mind.
