Well, my worst fears have come true. Someone this past Friday night, (durring my dinner and a movie with the mrs.) had forced their way into our apartment and stolen my PowerBook and the Mrs.' iBook. We immediately called the proper authorities. But the culprit left his fingerprints and shoeprints for the police to find. The officers that came out to investigate were very helpful and i gave them every piece of information that i deemed helpful to them. They didnt steal any of the desktop computers i have though... or my olympus camera. to me would be an easy pocket snag.
oh well. i did want a macbook pro anyhow... guess this means i'll get one... Blue and White G3 PowerMac 350 iPod 5G 30GB 15" 1.67 GHz Powerbook 1GB DDR2 RAM 100GB 7200 SATA HDD 12" 800 MHz iBook G3 256MB 30GB HDD |

I am so sorry. That is an awful thing to happen. I had to build my grandmother a new desktop after the people collecting the trash broke in and stole tons of stuff from her house using the trash cans to make it look normal. She was away for a month and they ripped the place apart. I am very sorry and hope that they catch the person responsible.
Did any of your neighbors notice anything weird? Being in an apartment I would hope someone would notice. Also do you have any insurance that will to cover any of it for you? Last edited by macleod : 2006-07-20 at 17:54. |

That is awful. I'm very sorry. I know how it feels, when i was 11 someone broke into my house and stole all of our electronics and even our freaking Christmas gifts my parents had stowed away in the closet down stairs (this was about 2 weeks prior to christmas).
I've always, always wanted to find out who did it. I am still very angry to this day. Not because my toys got stolen, but because they got my parents wedding bands, and it happened while we were all out at the hospital visiting my grandma who had leukemia at the time. It was just a very stressful time for my mom to begin with, and it just made it a lot worse. Being 22 now, and a hockey player my whole life, i'd love to meet up with whoever did it in a dark alley one night. |

That's horrible. I really hope whoever did it will get what's coming to him very soon.
