I was scouring my old httpd logs today and I found this:
a17-201-23-20.apple.com - - [24/Mar/2004:14:08:24 -0800] "GET /gallery/applestoresf HTTP/1.1" 200 23253 "http://macosx.apple.com/Updates/integration/sitewatch/sites.php?site_id=330&action=list_posts&watch_id=2 3" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/124 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/125.1" It seems to be a bulletin board of some sort, but there's not address associated with that host anymore... Anybody have any idea exactly what it was (or is)? |

Very interesting.
WebArchive and Google show nothing for that subdomain. However, I did find a discussion over at MacRumors' forums that lists a bunch of subdomains from Apple.com. Oddly enough, it lists macosx.apple.com as one that doesn't exist. Maybe it's only available internally at Apple and someone there linked to you? The quality of this board depends on the quality of the posts. The only way to guarantee thoughtful, informative discussion is to write thoughtful, informative posts. AppleNova is not a real-time chat forum. You have time to compose messages and edit them before and after posting. |
