I'm curious how many of you normally carve a pumpkin, and if you do, where do you live? Are there a lot of jackolanterns in the cities? (real ones, not plastic )

Anyways, this might be the first year that I did one completely by myself, and I forgot to take pictures of it last night so I took some this morning. I'll probably replace these with real pictures tonight, although this photoshop enhanced jackolantern looks pretty good.

Yes I'm aware it was a little weird to put 'Halloween' and not 'Happy…" first. It took long enough as it is just getting that cut out. I think next year I might try and actually get that cut out instead of just scraped out.

If you do any, show them to me. Oh, and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Edit: $5 for anyone who guesses the font

You've put my pumpkins to shame. I'll take a pic later unless some hoodlums (or myself) haven't smashed them yet.

I was going to carve a Sad Mac in one and a Happy Mac in the other until I realized how much effort it would be.

Yeah, like I said, the lettering took quite some time. I might pick up a pumpkin after halloween and try to do something similar to mine but actually have the letters cut out. I'd guess it took me almost an hour doing the text.

Nope Luckily for me it's not a font that would be on your computer by default.

Heh, that's cute. That is a great looking pumpkin, mines all weird and green and flat on the other side. My brother picked them up and was so proud of them…well I don't think I'll be letting him pick pumpkins for us again next yr

Nice, that left (or wolfs right) eye looks really hard to do, I know it would break off while I was doing it if I tried that.

I generally go down to the farmer's market every year and pick up a few pumpkins from a guy that keeps the vines still attached to the top. It really makes for some great hairdos. But alas, this year I'm in the process of moving to a new place and didn't have a proper venue to display my mad pumpkin carving skillz. I'm bummed.

So it goes.
