Hi all,

I have some data and I want to match it with itself.

For example, pretend I have two columns of data:
Age Groups (18-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+) and Gender (M, F).

I'd like to be able to select the Age Groups column and say whenever you see an "18-19" look at the column next to you and tell me if it is M or F. I don't mind making it two separate functions. ie: one for a Male count and one for a Female count.

I'm pretty sure this is possible, but I'm not getting my head around it at the moment. I'm not too clued up on Look Up tables ... I thought this would be possible with one function/forumla.

(I'm using Numbers - but I presume an Excel formual would work too.)

All I want is a simple life
