Let's say tiger is released on April 1st. If I were to order a computer on that day, would it come with Tiger?

I'm sure we'll see something like what happened with the switch to iLife 05, once the current supply - pre 10.4 is exhausted then the new stock with Tiger will be shipped. In the past Apple has offered discounts/free versions of Tiger to those who end up in the first situation... but who knows.

Probably. They Might just provide 10.3, but put in a disk for 10.4. just like iLifo 5 when that was released

Apple's consistently offered an Up-to-Date program, so at the worst you can expect to pay $20 for s&h for the Tiger CD.

Anything you buy from Apple via web or Retail from that date forward will have the CDs included. YMMV with 3rd party resellers. If the CDs are not included, you get to do the $19.95 upgrade.
