I am looking for something that will hold the MBP in a tight fit and the power supply. Any suggestions on modern styles? I saw the JAVA ones, they are very nice and very expensive as well and it seems like the smaller ones have no place for the power supply which makes them pretty useless.

Anything by Brenthaven.
(local shoutout) I don't know if you have a 15" or 17" MBP, but they make cases called the Edge I and Edge II, in vinyl or leather, made specifically to the dimensions of a MBP (or MB for that matter). They also have an AC adaptor sleeve specially made for Apple AC adaptors. You had me at asl ....... |

I have a Brenthaven backpack for my MBP and I am extremely happy with it.
It has become my second home and my personal mobile studio. The amount of stuff that actually fits in that bag is amazing as well as the amount (and quality) of strategically protective padding. And no, I am in no affiliated with them, although I got a nice discount through my dealer. |

I just got the "Jack Bauer" bag for my MacBook. Granted, you'll need a sleeve for a tighter fit inside the bag but as far as laptop bags go this is pretty nice -- far better then my traditional notebook bag that I replaced this with.

Seems nice. I was looking for one of it. I never owned one so I can't tell about the quality but the reviews are really good. Dave Mustaine :"God created whammy bars for people who don't know how to solo." |

I have a 12" Nylon InCase sleeve/case from the Apple Store (which comes in different sizes for all Apple laptops); the case itself fits the computer like a glove, and the front pocket is just right for the AC adapter and a few other accessories. Super durable and comes with a removable shoulder strap too; not bad for $49.

I "third" a Brenthaven case (I have the backpack for my 17" PowerBook). I loooove it. Tons of space. Has been on many plane trips with me (with 2 computers in it - don't ask). Has held up wonderfully.

I've had a spire bag for the past 4 or 5 years and it's still like new.
