Has anyone used Airlock? It's pretty sweet. You turn it on and it senses your iPhone's proximity to your computer. When you're outside of a user-defined range, it locks your computer. When you come back, it unlocks. It can do other things, like open apps when you enter or leave range. It's pretty neat. I like it because I've got my computer set to ask for a password when I wake it from sleep or screen saver, but I'd really rather just have it lock and unlock automatically for me. I like the security of having my screen locked when I'm not around but it's sort of a pain to manually unlock it.
I just wish there was a way to tell it to pause/resume iTunes, too. edit: problem solved! Use Automator to create one step applications that pause and start iTunes. Simple! If it's not red and showing substantial musculature, you're wearing it wrong. |

I was thinking of doing this as well.
The only problem I see is that sometimes I just leave my iPhone next to my computer and go and do something else nowhere near my computer. I guess I could set a hot corner for screensaver if I'm leaving my phone there. I'll have to try it out. No more Twitter. It's Mastodon now. |

I have been trying it, but my problem is that having bluetooth always on and working like that seems to drain the battery a lot faster. It is pretty cool though, and it worked as advertised with a couple exceptions for me.
