Hiya gang!

Got an interesting one here...

We need to migrate a user account from one machine (an iBook running 10.4.8) to a similar iBook running 10.3.9

Documents are easy, there are no custom settings to move - so the biggest problem is dealing with mailboxes!

Any ideas? Anyone?

Mail 2.0 in 10.4 introduced a wholly new file format to make Spotlight indexing easier. Perhaps if some other app (Thunderbird?) can import that format, you might be able to migrate the result to Mail 1.x in 10.3.

Failing that, try http://www.cosmicsoft.net/emlxconvert.html

Knew about the difference between the two - didn't know about the existance of that app! Not confirmed yet, looks like we might have a winner...
