I mentioned to Dellphi that it would be neat to have the ability to chat with other players in-game, even when I wasn't in-game, via some sort of chat app. Today he sent me a link to something called "Dynmap", which is some sort of Bukkit plugin thingy. He pointed out that it also has a real-time map feature.

pretty keen, huh?

Not sure of the server load this would present, but I think you can contain the interaction to your whitelist of players...

I'm playing with it now though the hopes of this are slim.

I have a version running on my home server to give you a flavor of it if you'd like, though I'll PM you with the IP.

Brad and I have talked about this, but I'll let Brad give the details.
