Not sure if this is totally creative, but I spent my New Year's Day not nursing a hangover, but brandishing a level. I had a brand new bathroom, but didn't have towel racks, mirrors, or even a TP dispenser! With the spectre of going back to work rearing its ugly head, I needed a mirror in order to shave (ever try to shave without a mirror???) along with other expected bathroom niceties (like a place to put my towel!).

Took me all day, but I'm quite stoked with how it worked out! Here's a few pictures (it does exist!).

Think that's level?

Nice bathroom! Good job on the install. That can be satisfying.

Thanks! Satisfying is the right word, I think. It felt great to do tangible work for once.

I love doing stuff like this. Looks good! The right tools and patience/planning is 80% of it (and can sometimes overcome any lack of experience or uncertainty, I've learned over the years).

Some people go into these things in a hurry, don't measure/mark, don't use a level, don't anchor in to studs, half-ass the installation, etc...and then wonder why it looks like hell. Stuff like this is never a 30-minute, glitch/snag-free HGTV project (and if it is, you've probably done something wrong and it'll likely come back to bite you at some point).

But you did a nice clean, straight and professional-looking job. Makes all the difference!

Well done bpMF.

I've been doing smaller around the house jobs, but I take ages. I'm pretty particular though, so I can imagine how you must have felt ensuring everything was square. It really looks good, so well done again.

Measure twice - cut once.
