Tivo announced that Tivo to Go would be coming out on the Mac. So far nada. Any new rumblings or can we consider that this is yet another promise made by Tivo that will never come true.

For those of us not in the know, could you perhaps post a link to what you're talking about or maybe a description of what "Tivo To Go" is? Thanks.

Come waste your time with me

Yea Tivo said about a year ago that they will not make tivo to go for macintosh. I think the reason was it was too costly because Windows Media DRM has never been ported to OSX.

For that reason, I soon plan on dumping Tivo. It will be sad because having messed around with Time Warner's awful DVR, I know how bad a DVR interface can be and how good Tivo's is. Tivo really did it right for the most part. But limiting TivoToGo to the PC kills it for me. So instead, I'm going to build a Myth TV box. I've got an old PC I can use and it has an adequate video card. I've installed Fedora and am starting on installing the Myth TV software. Once I've got that working transferring to the Mac with TivoToGO-like functionality will be easy.
