I've been wanting to experiment with PDO (A feature of PHP51), and so for the majority of today I've been working on my Dev. Server... So far, every thing had gone as planed, with the exception of my PHP Build. I was trying to build PHP 5.1.1 from source, downloaded straight from php.net. The PowerBook is running 10.4.3, and has Xcode 2.2 installed.

I guess I didn't complete that thought. Whoops. The build fails. I have no idea why <_<

I unpacked the source into a directory, and then created this file...
Code:
--prefix=/usr/local/php5 \
--with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs \
--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql \
--with-mysqli=/usr/local/mysql \
--with-gd \
--with-png-dir=/usr/local/lib \
--with-zlib-dir=/usr/lib/ \
--with-jpeg-dir=/usr/local/lib \
--with-freetype-dir=/usr/local/lib \
--enable-gd-native-ttf I always keep the config line in a separate file, it makes it much easier to make changes.I keep my install of apache away from the OSX build in one.. All in /usr/local/... OK, I have given up keeping this sig up to date. Lets just say I'm the guy that installs every latest version as soon as its available! |
