I'm trying to fix my mom's shuffle. When you push any button the orange and green lights flash. I tried to hook it up to my powerbook but it won't mount. I've done some research and it seems to me that the shuffle is dead. Is there a fix for this? I thought that since it might be a windows problem, I can plug in into the powerbook and restore it. I guess I was wrong. Anything I can do to fix it???

When it blinks orange it's telling you that the buttons are disabled. This keeps the music playing when buttons are accidently hit.

From Apple:
Quote:
If the status light blinks orange when you press a button, the buttons on iPod shuffle are disabled. Press and hold the Play/Pause button for about 3 seconds, until the status light blinks green.
