I have a PowerMac G5. I would like to set it up with two cinema display so that I can work off the main display and play content full screen from DVD player or EyeTV to the second display. Is this possibe? How would I configure it? Is there a simple way via preferences > monitors?
Thanks everyone!!! |

I'm not sure about EyeTV, but the Apple DVD Player has an option in it's preferences to stay in full screen mode when in the background. That should work for DVD's. For other video files, try VLC. It has options for playing full screen in any monitor connected, and stays full screen in the background.

Yes. For some reason it took a really long time for me to find those settings. I did not understand that DVD Player will go fullscreen automatically on the screen the window is in. VLC does not do this automatically, you need to set Video->Video Device from the menu whenever you want to play a file in other than primary display.
