As the title of this thread states, I'd like to rename a folder on an external hard drive inside of which reside all the images in my Aperture library, but I just KNOW that changing the name of that enclosing folder will break the established file path. I'm having a devil of a time coming up with the correct search terms to deliver a way to do this through the software!
Specifically, I want to change a folder at the root level of that external drive from "Lightroom Collection" to "Master Aperture Library". Any suggestions? thx ... |

Not at my computer now - but I thought Aperture was smart about following links. Maybe you have to point the first photo to the newly named folder and the rest auto-update following suit?

Easy, change the name. Next time you launch Aperture it will ask what happened to the folder, then you just point it in the right direction.
