So... Anyone tried this?
It's an app for sharing you iPhone's internet connection, which would be really useful, except it was pulled from the AppStore, then reinstated, then pulled again, and the developers have heard nothing from Apple.
I've unfortunately been unable to find it in my AppStore.

I got it late last night before it was pulled.

I haven't used it yet but I figured I'd grab it while it was up.

Yep, I bought it and tried it out...works really well!

I've only got Edge here at home, but this was my speed test result (Using my MBP through the iPhone's Edge connection wirelessly):

Setup was a breeze, but I've only used it to load a handful of pages. I want to see if there is any backlash from AT&T first

I've been using NetShare with my MBA for about the past hour because Comcast fucked up and messed with our internet.

Overall, it's not that bad with a first gen iPhone on EDGE. Pages load pretty quickly. I just changed the user agent in Safari to Mobile Safari and it works just as well as the iPhone does.

This app is definitely worth the $10 that I paid for it. It's times like this when you realize that you need to submit a paper to your teacher through email, but you don't have internet access. NetShare saved my ass today.

Now, I just have to keep AT&T off of my ass for using this.

No more Twitter. It's Mastodon now.

I've heard that AT&T and Apple are looking into a tethering plan. Nothing official mind you, just some site somewhere.

If there is ever a way to get this tori, I'd jump on it as soon as you could. I bought it immediately when I saw it because I wasn't sure how long it would last. I didn't know if I'd ever use it, but right now, it's definitely worth it.

**Hypothetical Question**

I wonder if it would work if someone who didn't buy the app just put it in their applications folder?

Maybe the person who bought it would just authorize the other computer?

I don't know. Just thinking out loud here.

**End of Hypothetical Question**

Pages seem to load faster on my MBA using EDGE than on the iPhone using EDGE.

Maybe it's just a placebo, but that's how it seems.

Using NetShare is more than adequate in a pinch. I've been using it for hours and it works well enough to use for long periods of time.

I'm sure pages are faster on your MBA. A lot of rendering speed is CPU power.

Tethering is apparently allowed here in Canada (Rogers/Fido network).
But NetShare is still not in the App (Cdn) store.

I tried that. An error message is thrown up by iTunes, and Netshare is still not on my iPhone. I'm kicking myself for not buying this when I had the chance.
