I realize that this does not really relate to everything else being speculated about right now, but for the first time since Apple brought podcasting into iTunes, they have not released an iTunes New Music Tuesday podcast. Any reason for this?

Yes - the port that normally uploads the data, got corrupted by a gnome (see other thread), this has caused a temporary lapse in server uptime and re-routed the message. We are advised that once the gnome has been caught, normal service will be reumed.
